Atlapac, an American manufacturer of poly packaging, pouches and bags, announces the arrival of a new high speed pouch machine with full bleed capability.
Atlapac has added another high speed pouch machine with full bleed capability to assist its contract converting accounts with the capability to run ink “full bleed” and remove the plate break on a flexographic printed job. At over 100 pouches per minute, Atlapac can “strip out material” between impressions to offer a finished pouch with “full bleed” at high speeds. Now Atlapac’s contract converting clients can offer a pouch with complete ink coverage without the need for sleeves or “in the round” printing.
Paul Unrue, Vice President of Atlapac commented, “I spent 15 years selling flexographic printed flexible packaging, and at times would work with a pouch client accustomed to buying pouches printed rotogravure with full bleed print”. In the past, when selling flexo, converters had to remove the plate breaks by utilizing expensive continuous print sleeves in order to run the ink out to the edges.
Now Atlapac can remove the plate break (at high speeds) and offer the look of “full bleed” print. The new machine allows our customer’s to offer their customers an aesthetically pleasing finished product.
