Lucky Cat Bakery in Central Ohio has converted all of its packaging to Terraphane™ B09. These new sustainable bags from Atlapac Corp. (Columbus, Ohio) are now fully functional at this regional baker.
Terraphane™ B09 – A single layer of cellulose material that is truly compostable. These Natureflex films are based strongly on renewable resources and are fully certified to the European (EN13432) and American (ASTM D6400) norms for compostable packaging. In addition they have been proven to be suitable for Home Composting and will also biodegrade in a waste-water environment.
“Atlapac is a perfect fit for my products and whatever we can do to minimize what we use for energy and whatwe throw away is something we care about at Lucky Cat”, stated Andrew Semler, Owner of Lucky Cat Bakery.”Before, we put our products in a plastic bag that would stay on the Earth “forever”, now our customers appreciate that they can enjoy our bread and even compost the bags”, added Mr. Semler. Mr. Semler takes recycling and the environment seriously, “I will pay more for the bags; so the Earth pays less, and it’s the right thing to do”, added Mr. Semler.
“Properly communicating about these new Terraphane™ products is extremely vital to us as a sustainable packaging manufacturer”, stated Paul Unrue, CPP and Vice President of Business Development at Atlapac. The bags that Luck Cat Bakery is using is our Terraphane B09 product and it is a single layer of cellulose film (our fully compostable choice)”, added Mr. Unrue.
