Atlapac Announces Plant Expansion, New B&B MAF Pinch Bottom Line and Label Applicating Machine
January 11, 2016 – Columbus, Ohio — Atlapac, an American contract manufacturer of pouches, bags and Inno-lok® preapplied zipper film, is pleased to announce that an additional 20,000 sq. ft. is to be added to their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Ohio. With the additional space, the facility will expand close to 100,000 sq. ft. Paul Unrue, President, stated “This additional space greatly enhances our material flow, and it will house our new B&B bag making line”.
The new B&B pinch bottom line (pictured below) will have fold & glued bottom capability, as well as multiple closure options (press to close, hook to hook, etc.). Unrue stated, “We are very excited to extend this bag style to our toll converting customers. Atlapac will be the first true toll converter to operate a B&B side gusseted pinch bottom machine. It brings an impressive and exciting addition to our capabilities.”
The pinch bottom bag offers an affordable way to move into an all plastic package (verses paper). Markets include pet foods, fertilizers and chemical products.
Atlapac will also be adding an IRC (instant rebate coupon) line for promotional callouts, meaning we can now label every package manufactured in our plant.
