Capabilities Shift to Core Business
July 21, 2011
Atlapac, an American manufacturer of poly packaging, pouches and bags, announces the removal of several side weld polybag machines.
Atlapac has recently sold off the side weld polybag machines to make space for the explosive growth of other bag styles from within the organization.
Paul Unrue, Vice President, Sales and Marketing commented, “Our team decided that our future in contract bag making will need to be focused on our core pouch making business. With our stand-up pouch business (along with the back seam and fold over style bags) we convert, absolutely must be our main points of emphasis”. Atlapac recently sold several lines for “hot wire or side weld” polybag making. “We needed the space as we added several new high speed pouching lines to keep up with our double digit growth in that area”, added Unrue.

Atlapac Veteran Announces Retirement
June 21, 2011
After two decades of dedication, loyalty and service Michael McCoy, our CFO has made the decision to retire. Having joined Atlapac in 1988, Mike has been a part of the Atlapac family for 23 years. He has participated in the growth of the company from three employees to fifty-four employees, from four machines to thirty-eight machines, from daily production of 4,800 bags to over 1,000,000, etc, etc.
As with any family member, we have shared a lot together. Mike has grown professionally and personally over the years, as we all have. His children are long grown up and he has numerous grandchildren and even great grandchildren. There has been nothing but “ups”, along with a lot of laughter, a bunch of sweat and a few tears. Mike has been the best family member/co- worker/teammate/friend anyone could ask for.
Please join me in congratulating Mike on a job well done and wishing him a future of nothing but happiness. Happiness spending time caring for his mother, sporting events with the grandchildren, adding to his 10,000 plus baseball collection, long motorcycle rides, cutting all that grass on his property and happiness in anything he does. I know one thing for sure; ice- cream sales are going to go up. Mike’s last day will be August 30. Until then he will be working Tuesdays and Thursdays helping us transition. Daniela Williams will be taking on Mike’s responsibilities. I know many of you have worked with her in the past and know her well. For those who have not had the pleasure of meeting Daniela let me just say you are in for a treat. Daniela is a wonderful asset to Atlapac and has worked with Mike for several years.
So hats off to Mr. McCoy. Wish him nothing but the best. I know he gave Atlapac his best and we will miss seeing him every day.
Thank you Mike,
Stuart Staeck
President
Atlapac Adds Another New Stand-up Pouch Line
March 21, 2011
Atlapac, an American contract manufacturer of pouches and bags, announces the arrival of another new high speed pouch machine. This machine was just purchased by Atlapac due to the overwhelming demand for contract converted stand-up pouches.
Paul Unrue, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, stated “we have a specific plan for sustained growth in the contract converting of pouches here. We have invested in new machines each of the last three years because our clients, and the brands we service with them, need additional capacity to keep up with consumer demand.” Unrue also added “we made a decision recently to add our new Business Development Manager, Tammy Lehar. Once Tammy started our equity team knew we must be poised to support the oncoming demand for her efforts as well; and another line to boost capacity is pivotal to this.”
