Spouted Refill Pouch Machine Added to Atlapac
March 21, 2010
Atlapac, an American manufacturer of poly packaging, pouches and bags, announces the arrival of another new pouch machine to manufacture refill spouted pouches.
Early 2010, Atlapac will be offering spouted pouches as an option for the growing client base for contract converting. Refill spouted pouches are becoming more and more popular in the United States as an alternative to rigid packages for dispensing liquids. Several large consumer product goods manufacturers have already replaced rigid bottles with refill spouts.
Stuart Staeck, President of Atlapac commented, “we are proud of our growing relationships with our contract converting clients, and we felt that adding a spouted pouch line was essential to our core business strategy”. Mr. Staeck also added, “in 2009 we started our commitment to sustainability with our Terraphane line of bags and pouches, so it made absolute sense to now bring refill spouts to offer a sustainable alternative to rigid bottles”. Pouches use 40% less plastic than rigid bottles, and nine times less warehouse space (and landfill space) throughout its cradle to cradle cycle.
